[RP] Arrival of the Chancellor of Galloway

Evan was walking quickly towards the Embassy, having just disembarked in the port of this fine Mediterranean Island. He had been here years ago, in a quest to acquire a ship. One jewel of the craftsmanship of the shipwrights here. An unlucky vessel, though, as it ended up in the depths of Gibraltar Straights. With these thoughts, he almost missed admiring the building standing in front of him, a real palace compared to the rather plain and strict building where his office was at home.

He entered the courtyard and approached the main entrance, guarded by a couple of soldiers, as happened with most official buildings. He approached them, greeted them, and entered. What he always found magnificent in his line of work was that Embassies were always -even in dire times and times of war and strife- a place where people could walk and talk freely. He walked to an employee, probably a clerk of some sort, as he could judge by his clothes, and tried his luck with the little knowledge of the Italian language. "Salve signore. Dov'è Lady Maryka, l'ambasciatrice? Sono il principe Evan Campbell, cancelliere di Galloway." He knew his accent would break the man's ears and a slight smile confirmed it, as the man showed him a direction and started speaking quickly and almost incomprehensible giving him directions. At least he was expressive with his gestures, so Evan smiled back and walked in the direction the man had pointed him at.
